rarest of all the Tektite types is Moldavite. This beautiful green mineral comes predominantly from the Czech Republic. It was probably formed by the impact of the large meteorite or cometary nucleus that formed the Ries Crater in Germany between 15 and 20 million years ago, and, like Libyan Desert Glass, has been highly prized since antiquity. Some credible authorities suggest a lunar origin for Moldavite! We always have a number of beautiful examples available: just phone to check! WARNING!
